Our Library

News and information about our Library, the centre of our school, can be found here.

Our Library is an inviting and exciting place for students, parents and teachers. We are very lucky to have such a wonderful P&C who support our Library with generous funding.

Our library is staffed by Mrs Nash whose passion for books and literature is well known.  Come in for a look around and see what she is recommending this week.

In all Library sessions, borrowing and shared book reading will occur as well as Information Skills being taught. Information skills sessions include: being shown and introduced to the lay out of the Library, how Fiction and Non Fiction resources are shelved and located, author studies, assessing, locating, analysing and evaluating information found from a variety of sources such as books and web sites, creating book trailers, sharing recommendations to class mates and critically evaluating literature.

In addition to our K-6 curriculum activities, we also have our Little Bookworms program which runs each Tuesday afternoon from 2.25-3.25pm. Start date to be confirmed soon. Mrs Nash is facilitating this program and would love to see lots of pre schoolers coming along to enjoy a shared story and craft activity.
